So my morning started around 6:30am with breakfast in bed made by my girls. This is definitely the breakfast of champions. I really wanted to eat it but I could barely even open my eyes!! When I looked at the clock I about died……seriously…….6:30? We don’t even get up that early on school days. They were barely awake too but they just couldn’t wait to get up and get it made. What little sweethearts. I did appreciate the gesture but we all went back to be for a few more hours.
Then there was the wonderful gifts that the kiddies made at school……..
Kato made a butterfly hangy thing and colored a sweet poem. It was actually a song but he wouldn’t sing it for me. I sure wish he would cause he has such a good voice. I’ve heard it while he’s singing along to a little JB.
Then my lovely Kami……………………..
She made me a jewelry pot. Very cute. Such a creative little thing.
Oh…and next my Mari. She made this beautiful card that made me smile. She also painted a citranella candle for one day when we actually get nice weather.
I had to post the inside of her card. I love it when kids are learning how to spell.
And I can’t forget my Maki…………………………………….
He was so stinkin excited to give me his present. His face just lit up to be able to actually make something just for me. He’s my little “love bug”.
Now my little Kobester had NO idea what was going on. He just sat around wondering why everyone was giving mom these gifts. His gift to me was blowing me a kiss. He was more than happy to give me that. He soooo melts my heart.
And then there’s Awesome. I do have to admit that I wasn’t expecting much from him. He’s not awesome for his gift giving but he totally surprised me today!!!
YEAH……that’s right!! DIAMOND earrings!!!!!!!!!!!! They are absolutely perfect! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them. I’m not a huge jewelry girl but I could get used to these!!
Needless to say……I’ve had a wonderful day today. Even though they all gave me a “gift” I know that they appreciate me. Today I feel loved. Even if for just one day I get a “Thank you” from my family, it’s enough to last me another year of being a wife and mother. I so love them and I feel blessed to have them all in my life.
I think that I appreciate my mom, my mother-in-law, & my grandmothers even more now that I am a wife and a mother. Somedays I wonder how they survived the tears, fighting, whining, yelling, arguing…….the list could go on and on. The older my kids get the more amazing they become. I am so lucky to have them in my life. I may not let them know as often as I should but I absolutely LoVe these women. What great examples I have to look up to. So, to these great women in my life…………………………Thank you.
