This past weekend my girls had their first competition of the year! They did Awesome!!! I’m so stinkin proud of them. They actually practiced for this one and it paid off. Our goal for this competition was to remember all of their routines. I was expecting tears from at least one of them. But no way. They remembered and there were no tears! I’ve been watching made up routines for the last day and a half. It’s pretty cute. Now they want to attempt 2-batons. I love seeing them so jacked about a sport that I absolutely love! I can’t wait for the next competitions to see how they do.
They both received their first medals in a competition. Mari placed 4th in both Medley and Solo. Kami placed first in both Medley and Solo. Kami now advances to the next level in Medley and Solo. She has a lot of work ahead of her. They also placed first in their group routine. What a cute bunch of girlies!!
I thought I’d post a picture of them with their medals. They haven’t taken them off since they got them on Saturday. One of our twirlers mom, designed these medals. She did a fabulous job! She is a very talented lady. She also makes and refinishes childrens furniture! Check it out at http://findmeovertherainbow.blogspot.com/.
Enjoy!
